Over 60 years of success and a new starting point.

The history of Fluiten began in Milan, in via Ludovico il Moro in May 1962, although the factory was later established in Pero. It is here that Alberto Delfo Colombo founded FLUITEN, a company specialized in the design and production of mechanical seals for industry. His favorite words: “The excellent results of Fluiten today are the fruit of over 60 years of dedication, passion and achieved goals.”

To achieve these goals, three fundamental elements were necessary: cutting-edge technologies, targeted investments and, above all, people who make the difference in corporate realities. In fact, an organization made up of highly qualified and motivated people is essential for achieving these objectives. Since the early days, Fluiten and its collaborators have stood out for their passion for new technologies and the constant search for innovative developments and materials. The results are reflected in the products, in the meticulous attention to detail and in the customized applications created for our customers. “My obsession was mechanical seals, which had to last, not leak and be economical. In the 70s and 80s, Fluiten entered the European market, becoming a trusted supplier for machinery manufacturers in Italy. Technologies, investments and people are the pillars that make the difference, without a precise order. Furthermore, in those years, the collaboration with the Polytechnic of Milan began, giving rise to publications that are still a reference today in the most complex processes. In 1982 was inaugurated the new headquarters in Pero which became the home of this excellent company. During this period, Fluiten participates in the first sector fairs in Italy and abroad.

The 1990s and 2000s marked an opening towards the world and the birth of Johnson-Fluiten for rotary joints. During this period, the Fluiten brand was marketed by European distributors.

Our hard work to seek absolute quality was rewarded in 1997 with the obtaining of ISO 9001 certification, guaranteeing the quality of its production.

The Research and Development department completes stringent dynamic tests required by the API682 standard, an objective that few companies in the world can still boast today. A leap forward that brings us to today.

Today, FLUITEN competes in global markets with multinationals that can be counted on one hand. Fluiten mechanical seals find their main use in the chemical, oil and energy industries, but also in the pharmaceutical, food and naval sectors.
