Die Gleitringdichtung MUV – MUVS (Version mit geteilten Ringen) wurde für den nautischen Bereich entwickelt und optimiert. Bei diesem Modell besteht der stationäre Dichtring aus Spezialgraphit (Z31) und der rotierende Ring aus Chrommolybdänstahl (Y1) oder Siliziumkarbid (U41). Die Dichtung kann optional mit einem IDROSTOP<\/a>-Flansch geliefert werden, einer Sicherheitsvorrichtung, die nach dem Aufblasen das Eindringen von Wasser aus dem Rumpf verhindert. IDROSTOP<\/a> ermöglicht außerordentliche Wartungsarbeiten im Falle einer unbeabsichtigten Leckage der Dichtung, ohne dass das Boot trocken gelegt werden muss.
