Description
For processes that are polluting or dangerous for the operator and the environment, the regulations require double mechanical seals lubricated with a fluid.
The level of danger will determine the choice of pressure or non-pressure flushing and the consequent choice of the interlocking system: a buffer fluid with a non-pressurized system (CB8T) or a barrier fluid with a pressurized system (CB8D).
The CB8D version represents one of the ZERO emission solutions.
The CB8D/T solution is the result of a standardization process of engineered projects tested and created in accordance with the API 682 IV edition standard.
- Balanced “dual” cartridge seal;
- Multiple springs for double direction of rotation;
- Springs external to the process fluid;
- Monolithic sealing rings;
- Tested and unique rotating ring drive system, designed to maintain efficiency even in the event of vibrations, misalignments and wear of the sealing rings;
- Connection for flushing or venting and IN-OUT for auxiliary liquid;
- Auxiliary liquid circulation device with high capacity to dissipate heat and avoids the need for an external pump;
- Flange and shaft sleeve designed to customer specifications;
- Solution developed to provide installations on existing machines;
- Recommended for ASME B73.1 and B72.2 horizontal and vertical pumps.
